International master class will be held at the Regional Cancer Center

On December 5-7, the 3rd International Workshop "Innovations in Oncology: esophagus and lung cancer surgery" will be held at the Regional Cancer Center. This event will be held as part of the International Transfer Center of the Innovative Medical Technologies.

We remind that the starting point in the creation of this Center was the agreement signed by the oncology department of the Irkutsk State Medical University and the European Society of Oncological Surgeons (ESO). And organizationally, it was issued in the summer of 2017 on the basis of the Irkutsk Regional Cancer Center. Since then, annual scientific and practical conferences and workshops have been gathering the best oncologists of the world in Irkutsk, who share their experiences and the latest achievements with each other. For example, last year's International Master Class, which was dedicated to the treatment of hepatobiliary malignancies, was attended by doctors from seven countries: Russia, Germany, Holland, China, Korea, Mongolia and Japan.

This year, the main master class presenters will be German doctors from the thoracic clinic of the Heidelberg University, as well as from the Helios clinic network: these are Professor, MD, Hauke Winter, MD, Peter Reimer, MD, Axel Richter, MD and others. However, the matter is not limited to reports only: such master classes traditionally take place both in the conference hall of the Irkutsk Regional Cancer Center and in its operating rooms.
